I just had an email back from one of the larger US donor bank sites which was recommended by another egg freezer I chatted to on eggsurance. The bank told me they can't ship to the UK. This really sucks as so far they've had the largest amount of CMV negative donors who match my coloring. Back to square one.

ReplyDeleteI had a few questions about egg freezing and wondered if you could help. They've found a dermoid cyst on my ovary and I'm terrified I might lose it. Can you tell me about the egg freezing process? Should you freeze your eggs before ovarian surgery? Where did you go for egg freezing? I'm in london.

DeleteFirst, talk to your doctors about the viability of doing anything with the ovary while it has a cyst. They will have the best information. I used CARE London for my egg freezing. I did my egg freezing after I lost my ovary (which you can read about on my other blog). Obviously it's not ideal to lose an ovary, but it's also not the end of the world as long as you have one left! I know it's scary. Hang in there and stay strong.
