This blog details my journey on attempting to become a single mother by choice. I'm 44 years old and live in the United Kingdom. I have a different blog (http://eggfd.blogspot.co.uk/) that recorded my journey with egg freezing in 2013.
Oh wow!! So many congratulations- she is absolutely beautiful! And what an amazing mother and role model you are for her. The inordinate strength, independence and resilience you have shown during this "journey" are qualities this little girl is going to absorb and benefit from every time she hits a hurdle in life. And with you as her mum, she will know she can get through anything and thrive! It reminded me of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0snNB1yS3IE&t=2s
I cannot believe that you did all of this by yourself- egg freezing while completing a PhD (one or both being enough to send most people into complete meltdown), attaining financial stability post PhD so as to be able to be a single mum, dating and getting a boyfriend and deciding to proceed with your timeline and life plan regardless, choosing a sperm donor....and everything else! I am in awe. I also feel hugely inspired. Thank you for both fantastic blogs and best of luck with everything. You are a rockstar!
